Digital Polarized Camera

Digital polarized technology: polarimetric camera

The polarized camera SNY-XCG-CP510 combines the best of Sony technology in a convenient form factor which is optimised for use within both the Industrial Vision and non-manufacturing vision markets.

The SNY-XCG-CP510 incorporates our innovative and ground-breaking new IMX250MZR global shutter CMOS sensor, which uses monochrome quad polarised filters to capture polarised light in four planes.

The camera draws upon Sony's market leading high sensitive Pregius Global Shutter CMOS sensor technology and high quality camera-making capability, thus the XCG-CP510 provides the best combination of performance and quality from a brand you can trust.

This polarized camera has a resolution of 2448 (H) x 2048 (V) with a frame rate of 23 fps and supports GigE Vision 1.2 / 2.0 with a one cable PoE capability.

The SNY-XCG-CP510 will be made available together with an exclusive Sony-developed polarised camera SDK software which will enable fast and simplified development of polarised-light applications for the camera and your solution demands.

Typical applications:
- Detection and measurement of stress in glass
- Detection and measurement of scratches.
- Vision and detection of objects after translucent media: glass, smoke, etc ...
- Inspection  of food trays
- traffic supervision, security, surveillance
- defense
- Improvement of machine vision systems in general, in collaboration with visible systems, infrared or thermal / thermographic.

Digital Polarized Camera

Polarimetric camera with the new Sony Polarsens sensor, which incorporates four states of polarization on-chip allowing the realization of polarimetric studies in real time.
The analysis of the polarized light allows seeing through translucent media (smoke, glass, etc ...) what visible or thermal and infrared cameras do not allow
