News in motorized linear stages, with ZABER
Iberoptics and Zaber want to announce the last news in motorized linear stages with sub-micrometric precision: the new linear motors for increasing the scanning speed without scarifying the accuracy. These are the three families available:
- ZAB-X-LDM-AE: ultra-high accuracy (1 µm), up to 1200 mm/s speed, 60/110/210 mm travel.
- ZAB-X-LDQ-AE: high accuracy (2.5 µm), ultra-high speed (up to 1500 mm/s), 75/150/300/450/600/ 1000 mm travel.
- ZAB-X-DMQ-DE: high accuracy 2.2 µm, up to 1400 mm/s speed, 12 mm travel.
Although stepper motors are widely employed in motorized linear stages, when an encoder is not used, they can become inaccurate. Here is where linear motors come into it. These later do not carry out any mechanical conversion between the motor force and the required travel, and together with linear encoder and servo control loops, they are able to offer the following advantages:
- Smaller minimum incremental move
- Higher accelerations and maximum speeds due to higher efficiency
- Zero backlash
- Higher precision
- Longer lifetime due to zero friction in the drive mechanism

Novel multi-channel LED light source for fluorescence applications: NIJI
Iberoptics also wants to introduce the new multi-channel LED light source for Fluorescence applications. With 7+1 UV-VIS-NIR channels perfectly aligned in a single output, independent overall channel control, liquid light guide offering hundreds of mW for channel and the possibility of filtering the excitation of each individual channel placing a filter before, the Niji source is valid for almost every application, and its price is an attractive advantage too.
In addition, if you have limited budget, you can acquire only some cannels (3-4), and add later the rest of channel without returning to factory.
